About Me: I have brought several ALEC pieces of legislation to the Minnesota State House, but I’m most famous for my push to mandate restrictive photo ID laws. I have a passion for recruiting both lobbyists and legislative members to ALEC. Together, I believe we can ensure that corporate lobbyists have the access they need to get the laws that they want.

ALEC Legislation
Rep. Kiffmeyer authored HF 0210 and HF 0302, which require voters to present proof of identity and residence prior to casting a ballot at a polling place. They establish a system of provisional vote casting for voters unable to meet the identification requirements on Election Day. The legislation provides for free voter identification cards to be issued to voters who do not possess other identification sufficient to prove identity and residence and institutes the electronic voter check-in system statewide.
Rep. Kiffmeyer authored HF 1597 and HF 1662, which would propose an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution requiring voters to present photographic identification and establish eligibility to vote prior to casting a ballot. The legislation provides for free voter identification cards to be issued to voters who do not possess other identification sufficient to prove identity and residence.
